Review of training strategies to prevent ankle injuries in plateau hypoxia environments based on PEST-SWOT

Abstract: The prevention of ankle training injuries in hypoxic plateau environments is a key aspect of scientific training for plateau troops. When facing with extreme conditions such as severe cold, hypoxia, and inconvenient transportation, injury prevention during training becomes a prominent challenge for medical support. How to systematically build a scientific and efficient training system for the prevention of ankle joint injuries is a major focus for plateau troops. The PEST-SWOT analysis model systematically analyzes the internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats, of constructing a training system for ankle injury prevention in plateau hypoxic environments from four dimensions: political, economic, social, and technological. This study, through system design in four areas—policy guidance, resource integration, social mobilization, and technological empowerment—combines national policy support, traditional Chinese medicine therapies, and artificial intelligence technology, and preliminarily proposes a training strategy framework centered on "assessment-training-intervention-rehabilitation." This framework leverages policy and technological advantages while aiming to address challenges such as harsh plateau environments and a shortage of professional personnel, providing a scientific path for the prevention and treatment of training injuries in plateau troops.
