Abstract:
Objective To study the effect of noninvasive mask ventilation on sleep quality of patients.
Methods One hundred and twenty-four patients undergoing noninvasive mask ventilation were randomly divided into intervention group and control group.Patients in control group received general nursing and those in intervention group received nursing intervention in addition to general nursing.Their sleep quality was assessed according to the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI).
Results The sleep quality was significantly better in intervention group than in control group(67.9% vs 40.3%,P<0.05).The persistent sleep time,sleep efficiency,sleep disorder and daytime function were significantly different between the two groups(P<0.05).
Conclusion Nursing intervention can improve the sleep quality of patients undergoing noninvasive mask.
