Research advances in regulation of bone remodeling signaling pathway by deubiquitinating enzymes

  • Deubiquitinating enzymes play a key role in maintaining the function and stability of cellular proteins by removing protein-linked ubiquitin chains. In recent years, it has been found that deubiquitination enzymes are involved in the regulation of bone remodeling during growth and development. To achieve functional balance in bone remodeling, it requires the participation of many signaling pathways, such as Wnt/β-catenin and BMP signaling pathways related to bone formation, and NF-κB and RANKL/RANK signaling pathways related to bone resorption. In this paper, the process of ubiquitin-deubiquitination is briefly introduced, and deubiquitination enzymes are involved in bone remodeling by regulating the function and stability of osteogenic and osteoclastic signaling pathway proteins.
