Abstract
Objective:To evaluate TNF-α and its receptor in sera and in skin lesions with psoriatic patients, and find the way which TNF-α exert its role on the mechanism of pathology of psoriasis vulgaris. Methods:We used ELISA and immunohistochemical method to check TNF-α and its receptor in sera and in lesions of 16 patients and 10 healthy volunteers. Results:The concentrations of TNF-α in sera of healthy volunteers and patients were 1.823±4.133 pg/ml and 83.643±110.104 pg/ml,respectively,P=0.02849. All 16 patients were positive stained by Z12 antibody and anti-p55 TNF-R antibody, and their expressions throughout the epidermis and the upper dermis. Only 2 and 5 healthy volunteers were positive stained by Z12 antibody and anti-p55 TNF-R antibody respectively, and their expressions were scattered to the basal cell layers of the epidermis and the upper dermis. Conclusions:TNF-α were elevated in sera and skin lesions of psoriatic patients compared with that of healthy volunteers.
