The clinical application of the face mask in combination with straight wire appliance in the correction of crossbite of anterior teeth

Objective:To evaluate the curative effects of the straignt wire appliance with the face mask and to investigate the effective therapeutie tool of the skeletal anterior crossbite. Methods:Fifteen patients with chass III malocclusion in mixd dentition were treated with the face mask and the straight wire appliance. Results:After 5-8 months’ treatment of the face mask,we appended using the straight wire appliame to change the overjet and overbite, and the result is satisfctory.Conclusion:For Class III malocclusion,using the face mask get remarkable result.
