Practical value of femoral arteries ultrasonography in coronary heart disease with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Objective: To study the practical value of femoral arteries ultrasonography in coronary heart disease（CHD） with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods: The subjects were divided into coronary heart disease with and without diabetes mellitus groups.Femoral artery bloodstream parameters,IMT and plaque index（PI） were examined by ultrasound.The results of femoral artery ultrasonography were compared with that of coronary angiography.Results: Compared with simple CHD patients without type 2 diabetes mellitus,CHD patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus had larger femoral inner-diameter and vessel resistance（（P＜0.05））,and their femoral artery IMT and plaque index（PI） were increased with the aggravation of coronary disease（（P＜0.05））.Conclusion: Femoral arteries ultrasonography is an important method to the diagnosis of coronary heart disease with type2 diabetes mellitus.
