Correlative analysis for serious toothwear status and risk factors of elderly population

Objectives: To measure the prevalence of serious toothwear among elderly population and explore the risk factors.Methods: With randomly stratified cluster sampling method,we selected 600 elderly in TangShan and examined the subjects clinically.Database was created and analyzed by Logistic regression analysis.Results: The prevalence rate of serious toothwear was 37.33%.The results of conditional regression of Logistic model showed that: old age,males,the profession of the teacher,bruxism,contact powder,xerostomia,eat nut,were risk factors of toothwear.Conclusions: Old age,males,the profession of the teacher,bruxism,contact powder,xerostomia,eat nut,were risk factors of serious toothwear.
