Study on the heart rate turbulence in ageing patients with acute myocardial infarction

Objective: To study the changes of heart rate turbulence（HRT） in patient with acute myocardial infarction（AMI） compawied with heart failure or not,and to investigate the clinical significance of HRT.Methods: 30 aging AMI patients with heart failure（group A） and 30 aging AMI patients without heart failure were（group B） chosen as patients groups,while 30 normal subjects as control group group C 24 h electrocardiograms Holter was recorded for all the 3 groups.Turbulence onset（To） and turbulence slope（Ts）were calculated and analysed according to-the Holter records.Results: To of group A was decreased significantly（P＜0.05） in comparision with group C.but no difference was found between group B and group C.Ts of group A and B was lower than that of group C（P＜0.05）,and there was statistical difference between group A and group B（（P＜0.05））.Conclusion: The HRT was weaken dramatically in aging AMI patients,TS was lower especially.HRT maybe becomes a independent index to evaluate risk of aging AMI patients.
