Application of Snodgrass procedure in treatment of hypospadias complications

Objective To analyze the clinical outcomes in patients with hypospadias complications after Snodgrass procedure,also known as tubularized incised plate（TIP） urethroplasty. Methods Clinical outcomes in 26 hypospadias patients who underwent the Snodgrass procedure from January 2006 to January 2012 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results The total successful rate of Snodgrass procedure was 73.08%.No significant difference was found in the successful rate of Snodgrass procedure when de-epithelial skin flaps were used or not（80.00% vs 63.64%,P＞0.05）. Conclusion Snodgrass procedure is the first choice for complications of hypospadias.
