Reasons for pulmonary artery hypertension after right heart catheterization and its countermeasures

  • Objective To study the pulmonary artery hypertension(PAH) after right heart catheterization(RHC) and the nursing measures for PAH patients. Methods Two hundred and forty-three PAH patients admitted to our hospital from November 2010 to November 2011 were retrospectively analyzed. Results PAH occurred in 10 out of the 185 patients who underwent RHC due to vagal reflex,hypovolemia,mental overstrain,use of PAH-reducing drugs and PAH crisis. Conclusion Immediate hemopiesic therapy is the effective treatment modality for PAH in view of its reasons.
