Anesthesia of patients with tracheal bronchus: A case report

Abstract
Objective To improve out understanding of tracheal bronchus by studying the airway management method during operation. Methods Clinical manifestations and anesthesia of a patient with tracheal bronchus admitted to our hospital were analyzed with its related literature reviewed and experiences in its diagnosis and treatment summarized. Results The patient was a 60-year-old female. She underwent left upper lobectomy under general anesthesia and diagnosed with a tracheal bronchus according to her chest CT findings. A double lumen endo-bronchial tube was placed at its proper position under fiberbronchscopic guidance after anesthesia.The patient was followed up after operation, during which no severe complication was found. Conclusion Tracheal bronchus is extremely rare and should be early detected and treated.
