Effect of arthroscopic knee joint surgery simulation training system on arthroscopic surgery training

  • Objective To analyze the effect of arthroscopic knee joint surgery simulation training system on arthroscopic surgery training and quantitative assessment of its optimal training methods. Methods Over 40 physicians for advanced studies were divided into control group and experimental group.Physicians in control group received ordinary teaching and those in experimental group received ordinary teaching plus virtual simulation training. Effects of different simulation training methods on higher and secondary vocational staff in experimental group were compared. Results The scores of 3 operations were significantly different in the two groups after simulation training(P1=0.4, P2=0.02, P3 < 0.001). The command of simulation training methods was significantly different in physicians for advanced studies. Conclusion The arthroscopic knee joint surgery simulation training system can improve the knee joint arthroscopic surgery training effect. Training plan and learning strategy should be made according to the different conditions of physicians for advanced studies.
