Abstract
Objective To study the clinical and imaging features of lumbar spinal cord teratoma and its treatment modalities. Methods A 27 years old male patient admitted to our hospital on May 13, 2013 was diagnosed with lumbar spinal cord teratoma by imaging and biopsy, and its relative literature was reviewed. Results A solid, cystic and enveloped high spinal conus teratoma was located in lumbar spinal epidural intramedullary conus during operation, in which bean dregs-like fat components were detected. Conclusion Lumbar spinal cord teratoma rarely occurs in lumbar canal, and should be diagnosed by biopsy and removed under microscope.
