Abstract
Postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD), a hot topic in anesthesia of elderly patients, is characterized by impairment of recent memory, thinking concentration ability and language comprehension. Although the causes and pathogenesis of POCD remain unclear, the effect of infammatory factor hepcidin and iron metabolism on it has become a hot topic. Following is a review of its current researches.
