Value of endoscopic ultrasound in preoperative diagnosis of insulinoma

Objective To study the value of endoscopic ultrasound（EUS） in preoperative diagnosis of insulinoma. Methods Clinical and imaging data about 51 pathology-confirmed insulinoma patients admitted to our hospital from 2006 to 2012 were retrospectively analyzed.How to select the diagnostic methods of insulinoma was studied. Results The sensitivity and accuracy of EUS,TAUS,CEUS,CT,MRI and SAG were 97.9% and 90.2%,20.7% and 18.7%,93.5% and 78.4%,57.1% and 54.1%,89.5% and 77.3%,76.9% and 71.4%,respectively. Conclusion EUS plays an important role in preoperative diagnosis of insulinoma.CEUS and MRI can also be used in preoperative diagnosis of insulinoma if the patients’ condition permits.
