Relation between IL-6 and IL-10 polymorphism and OSAHS accompanying hypertension

Objective To study the relation between IL-6 and IL-10 polymorphism and OSAHS accompanying hypertension. Methods Three hundred severe male OSAHS patients（145 with OSAHS accompanying hypertension,155 with simple OSAHS） admitted to our hospital from 2006 to 2012 served as an OSAHS group and 100 healthy males served as a control group in this study.Polymorphonisms of IL-6-572C＞G,IL-6-174C＞A,IL-10-592,and IL-10-1082C＞A were detected by gene sequencing.Relation between IL-6 and IL-10 polymorphism was compared in OSAHS accompanying hypertension group,simple OSAHS group and control group. Results The frequencies of IL-6-572 genotype GG,IL-6-174 genotype CG,IL-6-174 allelic gene C,IL-10-1082 genotype AG,and IL-10-1082 allelic gene G were significantly higher in OSAHS accompanying hypertension group than in simple OSAHS group（11.0% vs 4.1%,6.2% vs 0.6%,3.1% vs 0.3%,20.7% vs 11.0%,10.4% vs 5.5%）.However,no significant difference was found in the frequency of genotype A/C of IL-10-592 between the two groups. Conclusion IL-6-572 genotype GG,IL-6-174 genotype CG and IL-10-1082 genotype AG may participate in the occurrence of OSAHS-related hypertension.
