Abstract
Objective To find out the common characteristics in epidemiology of 113 cases with brucellosis. Methods Clinical data about 113 patients with brucellosis admitted to our hospital from October 2008 to September 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Adult patients accounted for about 75.22%. The ratio of male to female was 2.32:1. The occupation of more than half of the patients was herdsman, and the following was business service. Most cases came from quarantine areas, and the number of cases who came from Beijing (PFAs) located on the fourth. About 70.8 percent of the cases were infected by contacting with sheep or cattle, 10.6 percent of the cases had no clear history of exposure. Conclusion The incidence of juvenile cannot be ignored. Contact infection is still the main way of infected with brucellosis, and clinical doctors should pay attention to the other modes of infection of this disease. Cutting off the route of spreading and reducing the infection between livestock are the main means to control the brucellosis epidemic.
