Relationship between Wnt/β-catenin transduction signaling pathway and pulmonary fibrosis

  • Wnt signaling transduction pathway is closely related to the development of mammals and the differentiation and proliferation of cell. Beta serial protein is the key regulatory factor in the downstream of canonical Wnt pathways. Numerous studies have shown that Wnt/β- catenin signaling pathway plays an unsubstituted role during the occurrence and development of pulmonary fibrosis. This paper reviews the relationship between Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway and pulmonary fibrosis in hope of exploring the potential targets gene for anti-fibrosis treatment which exist in this pathway.
