Abstract
Diabetes mellitus can lead to serious health problems, which lacks of specific treatment at present. Recently, various sources of stem cells have been successfully induced into insulin-producing cells using small molecule compounds in vitro, which reduce the blood sugar of diabetic rats. Using small molecule compounds reprogram cells to treat diabetes mellitus is a very promising therapeutic means.
