Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of new Luliconazole ethosomes on tinea corporis model of guinea pig. Mehtods Twentyfour healthy guinea pigs were employed to establish tinea corporis models with sand method. All 24 guinea pig tinea corporis models were randomly divided into 4 groups: Luliconazole ethosomes (group A), Luliconazole liposome (group B), Luliconazole aqueous alcohol solution (group C) and control group (group D). The therapeutic effect on guinea pig tinea corporis models was evaluated according to skin lesions and fungal examinations. Results Compared with that of before treatment, the erythema and edema of group A, B and C reduced significantly at one week after treatment with statistically significant difference (P< 0.05), and the effect of group A and B was better than that of group C (P< 0.05). The fungal microscopic examination negative rates of group A, B and C at one week after treatment were higher than that of before treatment (P< 0.05). The fungal microscopic examination negative rates of group A, B and C were 100% at two weeks after treatment, which were significantly higher than that of group D (P< 0.05). Conclusion The antifungal activity of Luliconazole ethosomes and Luliconazole liposome on tinea corporis models of guinea pig are better than Luliconazole aqueous alcohol solution. There is no significant difference in the antifungal activity between Luliconazole ethosomes and Luliconazole liposome.
