Advances in hypofractionated whole breast or chest wall radiation therapy via external beam irradiation for postoperative breast cancer patients

Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women with increasing incidence and mortality in China.Multidisciplinary treatment combining surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and endocrine therapy, is the main therapeutic modality for patients with breast cancer.With the rapid development of radiotherapy technology and special biological characteristics of breast cancer, hypofractionated radiation therapy is increasingly applied in clinical practice.In this article, we review the advances in this field.
