Application of radiofrequency ablation technology in treatment of thyroid nodules

Thyroid nodule is a very common clinical signs of thyroid disease. Radiofrequency ablation is an effective, minimally invasive, safe and new method for tumor treatment. The technology has been used in the treatment of liver, bone, kidney and thyroid tumor, etc, and it attracts much more interests in the treatment of thyroid nodule. This article reviews the mechanism o radiofrequency ablation on thyroid nodules, its current clinical application and efficacy.
