Abstract
Objective To discuss the value of routine Doppler ultrasound screening for patients underwent total hip arthroplasty. Methods Forty- three patients who received total hip arthroplasty (THA) in our hospital from April 2014 to April 2015 were included and their Doppler ultrasound screening results were analyzed. Results Of the 43 cases, two patients were diagnosed as deep venous thrombosis (DVT) by Doppler ultrasonography screening and received corresponding intervention promptly. Conclusion Routine Doppler ultrasound screening has important significance for patients underwent total hip arthroplasty.
