Abstract
Endometriosis is a common gynecological disorder with unknown causes. Most researchers believe that genetic factors play pivotal roles in its development and maintenance. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) is defined as RNA molecules with a length of 200-100 000 nucleotides that lack protein-coding capacity. It plays an important role in various processes of individual development and diseases progression through regulating gene expression in different mechanism. This review of lncRNA in endometriosis aims to explore the pathogenesis of endometriosis and provides information for new biomarkers or novel therapeutic targets.
