Abstract
Atherosclerosis of large intracranial and extracranial artery is one of the main causes of ischemic stroke. Some clinical studies suggest that left-to-right asymmetry may exist in terms of clinical symptoms, signs and outcomes, volume and location of infarcts, features of culprit vascular lesions of large-artery atherosclerotic stroke. Research advances in this feld are summarized in this article.
