Inflammation induction methods for periodontal mesenchymal stem cells in vitro and its progress

  • Local inflammation of periodontitis and peri-implantitis will cause the alveolar bone absorption, the loose of teeth or implant, the dentition defect and repair failure. Thus, the patient's masticatory function decreased or even lost. Therefore, in vitro inducing mesenchymal stem cell inflammatory response is the foundation to study the occurrence, development, prognosis of periodontal inflammation, and the influence of inflammatory environment on human periodontal ligament cell function. This article will review the induction methods of periodontal mesenchymal stem cell inflammatory response.
