Application of navigation technique in imaging-guided interventional procedure

  • The navigation techniques can be used to reduce operating physician's reliance on experience and improve puncture accuracy in image-guided interventional procedures. Navigation technology includes multimodality image fusion navigation and robotassisted puncture technology. Multimodality image fusion navigation is a real-time navigation technology that combines ultrasound with CT or MRI images to assist the interventional operation. Robot-assisted puncture is a technology of using robot to realize precise positioning and to assist manual puncture. With high stability, strong repeatability, no fear of ionizing radiation and other advantages, navigation technique makes interventional operations more precise and narrows the gap between young and experienced doctors.
