Abstract
Vertebroplasty is an effective and safe minimally invasive treatment for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCF), two approaches of which are most widely used:percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) and percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP). In recent years, the rapid development of this technology has become an important part of the spine surgery. This review provides a brief review of the current status of PVP and PKP in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures.
