Research advances in relationship between PCSK9 gene polymorphism and coronary heart disease

  • With the development of molecular biology theory and technology, the relationship between genetic factors and coronary heart disease has become a research hotspot in recent years. The latest study finds that PCSK9 gene is related with coronary heart disease, with different mutations showing different effects on the development of the disease. This theory reveals the causes of racial variation in incidence of coronary heart disease from the perspective of genetics, which indicates the arrival of individualized treatment era of cardiovascular disease and is of great significance to the clinical diagnosis and treatment of this disease. In this paper, the relationship between PCSK9 gene polymorphism and coronary heart disease has been reviewed.
