Characteristics of bacteria biofilms and development of its treatment strategies

Nowadays, bacteriabiofilm is recognized as a key factor in forming and persisting of chronic infection. The formation and components of biofilm are complex and only several components are recognized, and many treatment strategies are developed based on these components. In this review, the characteristics, key components and role of bacteria biofilms and the development of its treatment strategies are summarized.
