Specific radiographic signs of bilateral ovary in patient with Krukenberg tumor: A case report

Abstract
Objective To report a case with special imaging signs of bilateral ovary with Krukenberg tumor. Methods The clinicopathologic and imaging data of one patient with ovarian metastasis from gastric cancer who was admitted to Chinese PLA General Hospital in December 2016 were reviewed, and the particularity of imaging data and differential diagnosis were analyzed. Results The patient admitted to local hospital because of abdominal palpable mass. He was fi nally diagnosed as "gastric cancer, Krukenberg tumor" in Chinese PLA General Hospital followed by surgical treatment. Preoperative imaging examination showed halo ring sign of bilateral ovaries. Conclusion Krukenberg tumor usually presents as nodular or lobulated solid tumor on MRI imaging. However, the imaging features of this Krukenberg tumor are specific, which is of great significance for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of Krukenberg tumor.
