Effects of microgravity and simulated microgravity on genetic variation, pathogenicity and resistance of microorganisms

  • Microgravity in space environment can affect the stability of microbial chromosomes and other DNA, and the expression of genome and recombinant proteins. It will also lead to mutation, which may change their pathogenicity and resistance. This review summarizes the current research progress in molecular mechanisms of microgravity on microbes and their impacts on humans.
