Abstract
Cryptococcus neoformans primarily infects immunocompromised individuals, and mainly causes central nervous system infection. While Cryptococcus gattii predominantly infects immunocompetent ones, and mainly leads to pulmonary infections. They differ in pathogenicity, clinical features, diagnosis and therapy. This review focuses on the comparison of aspects mentioned above between Cryptococcus neoformans and Cryptococcus gattii.
