Oncologic emergencies and their managements

Oncologic emergencies occurs at all stages of tumor progress. It affects the patient’s life quality in mild cases, while in severe cases it requires hospitalization and even lead to death. Clinicians need to be fully aware of oncologic emergencies so as to deal with them in time and improve the prognosis. This review introduces four types of oncologic emergencies, tumor lysis syndrome, neutropenic fever, seizure, and superior vena cava syndrome, so as to help clinicians fully understand them.
