Influencing factors of abdominal lymph node metastasis in 53 patients with Siewert typeⅡ/Ⅲ gastroesophageal junctional adenocarcinoma

Objective To analyze the clinical data about patients with abdominal lymph node metastasis combined Siewert typeⅡ/Ⅲ adenocarcinoma of gastroesophageal junction,and explore the relationship between clinicopathological features and abdominal lymph node metastasis. Methods Clinical data about 53 cases with Siewert typeⅡ/Ⅲgastroesophageal junctional adenocarcinoma admitted to the first medical center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from June 1,2017 to May 31,2018 were collected.Of the 53 cases,there were 46 males and 7 females with median age of 63 years.Pearson chi-square test and logistic regression analysis were used for univariate and multivariate analysis. Results Univariate analysis showed that gender,age,BMI,Siewert type,Bormann type and operative?method were not associated with lymph node metastasis (all P>0.05);Tumor size,differentiation and depth of invasion were associated with lymph node metastasis (all P<0.05).Multivariate analysis suggested that the depth of invasion was an independent risk factor for lymph node metastasis (OR,12.646;95% CI,1.236 to 129.382;P=0.032). Conclusion Lymph node metastasis is closely related to the depth of cancer invasion.
