Rationality analysis in clinical use of creatine phosphate sodium in children:A report of 51 cases

  • Objective To evaluate the clinical use of creatine phosphate sodium in children and provide evidence for rational drug use. Methods Totally 51 children who received intravenous administration of creatine phosphate sodium in our hospital from January to May in 2018 were collected, and their clinical data including age, gender, clinical diagnosis and drug combination were analyzed. Results Of the 51 cases,28 cases were male and 23 cases were female;37 cases (72.55%) were under 6 years old.Twenty cases (39.22%) received creatine phosphate sodium treatment without a diagnosis of myocardial injury or heart disease, which was off-label drug use;41 cases (80.39%) were given three kinds or more drugs;32 cases (62.75%) received medication treatment combined with antibiotic drugs with rationality. Conclusion Generally, the use of creatine phosphate sodium for children in our hospital is rational. We should pay attention to prescribe creatine phosphate sodium based on clinical diagnosis and adjust dosage for patients with liver or renal function abnormalities.
