Research advances in determining the excisional margins of cutaneous malignant tumors

The primary treatment for cutaneous malignant tumors is surgical resection.Accurate determination of the margin is of great significance for the complete removal of tumors and preserving healthy tissues.This article reviews the common methods to determine the margin of cutaneous malignant tumor,including surgeon judgment,intraoperative pathology,Mohs surgery,imaging examinations,and summarizes some new means in the exploration such as reflectance confocal microscopy,optical coherence tomography and intraoperative near-infrared imaging.
