Overview of measurement of femoral neck anteversion angle: History,current status and prospect

Femoral neck anteversion angle is important for the mechanical conduction and the normal movement of the hip joint.With the advent of CT three-dimensional reconstruction technology and computer-aided design technology,the anteversion angle can be measured accurately.However,the existing methods still have some disadvantages,which limit their wide application in clinical practice.With the development of computer technology and the emergence of hybrid virtual reality technology,the automated accurate measurement and intraoperative visualization of the anteversion angle is no longer a problem,and will become the mainstream in future research and clinical applications.
