Research advances in relationship between transmembrane protein gene family and digestive system cancer

  • Transmembrane proteins (TMEM) are presented in the biological membrane, such as endoplasmic reticulum, lysosomes and golgi bodies.Studies have found that aberrant expression of TMEM genes family is involved in the digestive system cancer.TMEM proteins participate in proliferation, invasion and migration of the carcinogenesis of digestive system cancer cells.Understanding the relationship between the TMEM genes family and the digestive system cancer contribute to discovering potential clinical diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for this disease.
