Mechanism of extracorporeal shock wave therapy in promoting tissue repair and regeneration

  • Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT),as a new treatment,has shown advantages in the field of wound repair and regenerative medicine,and its related mechanism has attracted extensive attention.This article systematically reviews the process of ESWT transmiting mechanical energy waves,initiating cells to sense these signals and activating downstream,thereby generating biological effects and exerting therapeutic actions,which provides new research directions for the in-depth exploration of possible new therapeutic mechanisms for action of ESWT.
