Research advances in noncoding RNA in pathogenesis of acute lung injury in sepsis

  • Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory disease caused by the body's response to life-threatening infection. Its pathological process involves multiple systems and organs, among which lung is the first and most vulnerable organ. The mortality rate of acute lung injury caused by sepsis is as high as 40%.However,its pathogenesis is still unclear.Exploring the pathogenesis of this disease has important significance.Meanwhile,it may provide a new strategy for the treatment of the disease.Non-coding RNA is a type of RNA that cannot encode proteins. At present, researches on microRNAs,long-chain noncoding RNAs and circular RNAs in non-coding RNA family are becoming more and more extensive, and the research related to the pathogenesis of acute lung injury secondary to sepsis is also increasing. This article summarizes research advances in role of noncoding RNA in acute lung injury in sepsis.
