Research advances in preventive measures and equipment for heat injury in military personnel

Military personnel are vulnerable to heat stress when training in the hot environment which is one of the major special environments that the medical logistical supporters may face during war.Heat injury counts among the hotspots of military medical research.Effective protective measures can significantly improve the fighting capacity of troops in exposure to high ambient temperature.This paper reviews the preventive measures and equipments for heat injury in military personnel,including heat acclimation,functional foods and drugs,and cooling equipment.
