Case screening method based on electronic medical record database

Sepsis has high morbidity and mortality,which attracts great concern from medical care and scientific research.Currently,electronic medical records have been widely applied in clinical practice,and the research on sepsis using electronic medical records database is increasing.However,due to several variations in the definition of sepsis and the different diagnostic criteria for sepsis in different periods,there are differences in the recording way or content of database information,which often needs to re-screening.At present,different database-based screening methods for sepsis cases have their advantages and disadvantages,without uniform criteria.Based on the changes in the definition of sepsis,this review focuses on the introduction of several commonly used database-based case screening methods,so as to provide assistance for the research in this field.
