Research advances in artificial intelligence in predicting prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a kind of liver malignant tumor with high morbidity and mortality.Surgical resection or liver transplantation are the most effective method for the treatment of early liver cancer.However,the postoperative recurrence and metastasis rate are very high,which seriously affects patients' prognosis.Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) ultrasound,electronic computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are often jointly used to predict the prognosis of HCC patients.Recently,artificial intelligence (AI) has shown good performance in evaluating the treatment effect and prognosis prediction of liver cancer.This article reviews the application progress of artificial intelligence in prognosis predicting after surgical resection of hepatocellular carcinoma,hepatic arterial chemoembolization,radiofrequency ablation,liver transplantation,targeted therapy,radiotherapy and comprehensive therapy.
