Application of neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy in stroke rehabilitation

In recent years,the morbidity of stroke in China has increased significantly.It has become a major public health problem that threaten the lives and health of people.Neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy,which uses low-frequency pulse current to stimulate nerves or muscles to improve the functional recovery,is widely used in the rehabilitation treatment of stroke patients and has achieved good effect.This article reviews the application of neuromuscular electrical stimulation therapy in stroke,and its effect on different complications.
