In recent years, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has been the largest chronic liver disease in China. The incidence of endocrine and metabolic diseases related to NAFLD is increasing year by year, exhibiting intricate pathogenesis, specific pathophysiological features and clinical consequences, which are widely studied. The review aims to discuss the relationship between NAFLD and endocrine and metabolic diseases which frequently occur in clinic from the aspect of epidemiological evidence, pathophysiological mechanism and therapeutic strategies, as well as to provide more directions for the clinical management of NAFLD.
