Abstract
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of plantar heel pain, which is characterized by severe pain when standing, walking or exercising for a long time. It has serious negative impacts on the normal work and life of patients. However, the etiology of plantar fasciitis remains unclear. It is particularly crucial to guide preventive strategy and early scientific therapeutic interventions through research about the intrinsic and extrinsic risk factors of plantar fasciitis. This article focuses on the advances in the study of the associated risk factors that may cause plantar fasciitis.
