Research advances in mechanisms and application of mechanical prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is one of the common postoperative complications in orthopedic patients. As an important auxiliary measure of chemoprophylaxis, mechanical prophylaxis plays an important role in preventing thrombosis. In this paper, the principle, clinical application and new progress of common mechanical prophylaxis methods after orthopedic surgery are reviewed.
