Removal of subcutaneous neoplasms of face and head using XL-radiofrequency ablation skin apparatus

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of XL-radiofrequency ablation skin apparatus on subcutaneous neoplasms of face and headMethods Thirty-eight patients at the age of 6-85 years were recruited in this study.The skin lesions were located at eyelids in 20 cases,at forehead temple in 6 cases,at cheek and mandible in 7 cases,and at head skin in 5 cases.Of the 45 skin neoplasms,the largest was 3cm×2.2cm×3.2cm.All subjects were treated once with XL-radiofrequency ablation skin apparatus and followed up for 3-6 months to observe if the patients had relapse of the lesions,or deformation and scar formation at the lesion sitesResults No relapse,deformation and infection of the lesions occurred in 38 patients after treatment with no scar formation in 34 patients and small scars in 4 patients,respectively.No loss of eyelash and hair was observed after treatment.The outcome was very good in 35 patients and good in 3 patientsConclusion The therapeutic effect of XL-radiofrequency ablation skin apparatus on subcutaneous neoplasms is rather good with no scar formation.
