Expression of miRNA-204 in distal gastric adenocarcinoma and its role in pathogenesis and progress of gastric cancer

Objective To study the differentially expressed miRNA-204 in distal gastric adenocarcinoma and its role in pathogenesis and progress of gastric cancerMethods Differentially expressed miRNA-204 in distal gastric adenocarcinoma tissue and matched normal tissue was detected using miRNA microarray.Target genes of specific miRNA were predicted with bioinformatics methods such as TargetScanResults miRNA microarray showed that the expression of miRNA-204 was significantly different in distal gastric adenocarcinoma tissue and matched normal tissue.Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR showed that the expression of miRNA-204 was down-regulated in gastric adenocarcinoma tissue.Bioinformatics analysis revealed that BCL-2,NR3C1 and SOCS6 might be the target genes of miRNA-204Conclusion Distal gastric adenocarcinoma has its specific miRNA expression profile.BCL-2,NR3C1 and SOCS6 may be the target genes of miRNA-204.
